TAPESTRIES ON SALE

All the pieces have been woven at the Bernet Workshop in accordance with the Aubusson’s know-how which has been on Unesco’s World Intangible Heritage List since 2009. The pictures of the weaving cartoons and of the stages of tapestry making attest the genesis of the different tapestries. The Bernet Workshop can welcome you at the Worksop, by appointment (+336 87 67 50 87), to present you its own creations.

Tapestrie « sans Titre »

This work, characteristic of the lyric abstraction, finds its strength from its synthetic and very spontaneous composition. All the challenge for the weaver was to retranscribe, in a textile way, this spontaneousness of the gesture by means of the weaving, which is all except a spontaneous artistic medium, according to the time of realization. By the choice of the threads, the weaver could render the different intensities of blacks in order to remain faithful to the spirit of the original work of the artist.
