All the pieces have been woven at the Bernet Workshop in accordance with the Aubusson’s know-how which has been on Unesco’s World Intangible Heritage List since 2009. The pictures of the weaving cartoons and of the stages of tapestry making attest the genesis of the different tapestries. The Bernet Workshop can welcome you at the Worksop, by appointment (+336 87 67 50 87), to present you its own creations.
While the International Center of Cave Art in Montignac-Lascaux opened its doors, the Bernet Workshop wanted to honor the cave paintings with this tapestry inspired by the paintings of the Lascaux cave. Here it can be said that never has a tapestry merited quite so well the term of « wall art ».

The Bernet Workshop wanted to reintroduce the Aubusson’s « Verdure » with this tapestry realized from a pre-impressionistic painting. If the theme remains classical, its treatment by touches of colours renews this style of tapestries which made the notoriety of Aubusson.
